Anderson running for re-election -

Anderson has served as commissioner for 12 years and has helped produce 12 successful budgets. He has reduced real estate taxes and has not increased sales tax during that time.

Boston trustees bid farewell to longtime member

Just before the meeting, his family members burst into the room to surprise him. His fellow trustees expressed their appreciation to Ritch for his work.

History of the Village of Clifton

This time of the year, the little Village of Clifton receives a great deal of attention, largely because of the well-known display of Christmas lighting at the Clifton Mill. It is said the village received its name from the nearby cliffs.

When the first settlers came, priority demanded a shelter and planting a crop to have adequate vegetables to last throughout the winter months. At first, the crops were planted on a small portion of the cleared land, but as time went on, more and more acreage was taken for field crops.

Fine Dining in Clifton

Many Cliftonites rejoiced last summer when Red Feather chef/owner Brad Bernstein and partner Devon Barrett purchased what had been La Poste Eatery and, later, Harvest Bistro. The change promised to inject new energy into the neighborhood's only fine-dining establishment.
